![]() Chekhov's Skill: During Masami's narration of Yuki and Nicole's training, we see them karate-chop a wooden board together. In order to cheer her up, Nicole's husband, Richard, puts vegetables on his head to look silly and make her laugh. She's so insistent that, amongst other things, she destroys Nicole's card. Cheer Them Up with Laughter: Yuki harasses Nicole to accept a rematch fight with her.Bread, Eggs, Breaded Eggs: When Nicole talks about the things Yuki has, she mentions butlers, ponies, and pony butlers. This segment was guest-animated by Studio 4☌. Their kids are rendered in a Super-Deformed style, similar to anime for very young children. During Yuki and Nicole's rematch, they're rendered in a detailed, flashy anime-style where both are more humanoid. The flashback to Nicole and Yuki's childhood looks like manga panels, color included, and the art style resembles early Dragon Ball.Donut Cop immediately recognizes her, and only responds by asking her (by name) to return the money she forgot to drop off. Acquainted with Emergency Services: Nicole foils a bank robbery while bring her kids to school.Unfortunately her work overload sometimes means she's stressed to the max and resorts to shouting and punching walls, but in calmer moments, her kids are her world.Masami's mother Yuki shows up, and won't stop hounding Nicole until she agrees to fight her. If parents tune in, they'll notice another layer of humor aimed at the family dynamics, with the mom filling the roles of both breadwinner and housekeeper and the dad amounting to very little. ![]() Kids will see the humor in Gumball's failed efforts - like trying to pass off a cardboard DVD replica as one he ruined from a rental store - but the fact that the learning process usually is lost on him means there aren't any real lessons to be found here.Įxpect some of the typical gross-out humor (puking and the like) that's guaranteed to keep kids' interest and some fairly frequent cartoony violence (punching, kicking, extreme accidents) with little real-world effect. Usually it's his good intentions that get him into trouble, and his subsequent attempts to fix the problem actually wind up forcing him into a deeper hole, a situation that some viewers can probably sympathize with. If your kid is really like that then I probably would let him watch it? But still if you’re really concerned about your child watching the show, the actually go watch it if you really want an opinion.įull of quirky characters (peanuts and bananas, for starters) and a lot of over-the-top humor, Gumball's world is a place where kids' wildest imaginings will likely come to pass. There are a lot of other times where the family does dangerous things to try and stop the copy cats, but not once did they mock suicide. It doesn’t really mock suicide, in one of the scenes Darwin ( a fish ) try’s to drown him self but relies he is a fish so he can’t. I also want to make some corrections on this review I saw that “ the show mocks suicide ” the review goes on to talk about in the episode “copy cats” which is an episode about a Chinese TV show company that copied their show completely by using different characters and voice actors so because they copy the family’s every move the try to get rid or * cough* *cough* kill *cough* *cough* the copy cats to kind of send a message to the Chinese TV company to stop copying them. I have watched this show from episode one and actually despite being a kids show, it actually has some pretty good lore, if your an older kid that can understand and follow lore then the show can become interesting. If you’re an angry parent who doesn’t want their kid watching this show, just know that one bad or weird scene means that it’s the whole show. They may hide some little sex jokes (that any kid under the age of 12 shouldn’t know about) for the parents, and yes if your a parent watching the show with your child, I would to put your hands over their eyes in some of the scenes that slip through the “Y7” rating, and no they are not that bad. Look, I know this show may seem a bit over the top sometimes, but you have to understand that this show is for you and your kids.
